Raymond Dunn (Partner)
Managing Director of SFL: responsible for corporate finance advisory services to shipping and offshore companies and private equity firms. Mr. Dunn has strong relationships with financial institutions globally that are involved in the maritime industry. Prior to SFL, he worked as an investment banker for UBS Securities in New York, London and Hong Kong in corporate finance, debt and equity capital markets. In London, he was head of the US Eurobond issuer’s desk and later in NY head of the frequent bond issuer’s desk. Prior to UBS, Mr. Dunn worked as an economic research consultant for the OECD in Paris and also for firms at the Chicago Mercantile and Options Exchange where he was involved in the trading of financial futures and options. He holds a BA from Northwestern University in Political Science, a JD from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in Finance from Columbia University. At Northwestern he wrote content for and hosted a weekly public affairs radio program for two years focused on energy and environmental issues. He speaks English, French and Spanish, and has studied German and Mandarin.
Thomas Gallagher (Partner)
Managing Director of SFL: concentrates on brokering vessel charters, newbuilding contracts, and S&P for the US shipping market; arranges vessel leases and ship financings. Mr. Gallagher has worked extensively with the US Navy’s Military Sealift Command and other marine regulatory agencies such as MARAD and the US Coast Guard. Has concluded numerous newbuilding contracts with US shipyards and has also been retained as advisor to US leasing companies owning vessels (e.g., GE Capital, GATX Capital and Access Leasing). He is a graduate of the SUNY Maritime College with Third Mate’s license and BS degree and has worked as a Third Mate on a US flag tug. He holds an MA in Philosophy from St. John’s University.
